ABOUT MBE Group
With over 10 years of hands-on experience, MBE Group has built a reputation for delivering high-quality timber stables that combine strength, functionality, and attention to detail. From small private yards to large commercial facilities, our expert team has designed and constructed a wide variety of stable layouts — always tailored to the specific needs of the horses and their owners. We understand that every equestrian setup is unique, which is why we offer fully bespoke builds using durable, pressure-treated timber and proven construction methods. Our experience ensures that every stable we build stands the test of time, offering a safe, well-ventilated, and practical environment for horses all year round.

Consultation & Survey
At MBE Group, we know that no two stables — or horses — are the same. That’s why we begin every stable project with a detailed consultation, taking the time to understand your specific requirements, from herd size and daily routine to layout preferences, future plans, and site access. Once we have a clear picture of your needs, we carry out a thorough on-site survey to gather all the essential information — including ground levels, drainage conditions, access routes, orientation, and any planning considerations. This ensures we can design and build a stable block that is not only functional and durable but perfectly suited to both your horses and your environment.
Initial Design Process
The initial stage of the design process focuses on getting the stable layout exactly right for your needs — whether it’s a single block, a U-shaped yard, or a full equestrian complex. We work closely with you to understand what you’re looking for in terms of functionality, flow, and features. Once the core design is agreed, we provide a rough estimate to give you a clear idea of budget and scope. From there, we move into the detailed planning phase, which may involve structural engineers, technical drawings, and preparation of any required documents to support the planning application process.

Planning & Structural
Once your stable design is finalised and the official quotation has been provided and approved, we begin preparing all necessary technical documentation. This includes detailed drawings, schematics, and construction plans, which are then submitted to a qualified structural engineer to ensure full compliance with building regulations and safety standards. Our team will guide you through the planning permission process, providing full support along the way. We’ll supply everything required for a successful submission — from 3D renders and technical drawings to elevation plans and site layouts — helping to streamline approvals and move your project forward with confidence.
Approval & Deposits
Once your planning permission is granted, we move into the pre-construction phase. At this point, the deposit outlined in your official quotation becomes payable. This deposit secures your place in our build schedule and allows us to begin preparing for the installation phase.
Upon receipt of your deposit, we will:
-
Confirm your start date and formally add your project to our build calendar
-
Order all necessary materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability
-
Coordinate any specialist services such as groundwork teams, structural engineers, or third-party trades if required
-
Finalise your build timeline, including key milestones and expected duration
-
Provide you with a pre-start checklist, outlining any preparations needed on-site before we begin
Our team will stay in close contact throughout this stage to ensure you're kept informed, fully prepared, and confident as we move towards construction.

Build & Final Invoice
Once the build begins, our experienced team will work diligently to ensure your project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. We take great pride in our attention to detail, safety, and site cleanliness throughout the entire construction phase.
When the build is complete, we will:
-
Conduct a final quality check to ensure all work meets our standards
-
Invite you to inspect the completed project and raise any final queries
-
Once you are fully satisfied, we will request a formal sign-off
-
The final invoice will then be issued, as outlined in your quotation agreement
Our commitment to you doesn’t end there — we’re always available for follow-up advice, support, or maintenance recommendations as needed.

Planning & Structural
Planning permission and structural compliance are essential parts of many equestrian and construction projects. While MBE Group will provide full support throughout the planning process — including preparing detailed drawings, technical documents, and 3D renders — it is the responsibility of the customer to submit the planning application in their own name. This ensures legal ownership and correspondence remain with the landowner or applicant. Where required, we also work with trusted structural engineers to ensure that all designs meet local authority regulations, load-bearing requirements, and industry standards. We’re here to guide and assist you at every stage, ensuring all submissions are accurate, timely, and well-prepared for approval

Please Note.
Your initial consultation with MBE Group is completely free, giving you the opportunity to discuss your project, explore options, and ask any initial questions without obligation. However, please note that ongoing surveys, design services, and detailed consultations are chargeable — as outlined in our Terms & Conditions, which are provided in your initial consultation pack.
If you choose to proceed beyond the initial discussion into the first stage of design, you will be subject to the fees clearly detailed in the pack. These costs reflect the time, expertise, and technical work required to deliver accurate, tailored plans for your project.
We believe in full transparency from the outset, ensuring you're informed at every step.
